Welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ,  Gamma Delta Omega Chapter (GDO), based in Portsmouth, VA. Chartered on October 6, 1939, this year marks 80 years GDO has provided “service to all mankind”

in the Portsmouth community.


Throughout the years, GDO continues to provide service and programs that significantly impact the community.

Now, under the leadership of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated   International 

President, Dr. Glenda Glover the 2018-2022 International Program, 

Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service,

will feature five target initiatives:

  • HBCU 4 Life: A Call to Action

  • Women’s Healthcare and Wellness

  • Building Your Economic Legacy

  • The Arts!

  • Global Impact

​We will also feature our continued commitment to the youth with the signature program College Admissions Process, or #CAP .
