Gamma Delta Omega Chapter
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated
On behalf of the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Gamma Delta Omega Chapter, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our official website.
I invite you to explore the website and learn more about our programs of service, upcoming events, and continued commitment to be of service in Portsmouth, Virginia, and the surrounding areas. I also encourage you to observe Twenty Pearls, Incorporated, the foundation of Gamma Delta Omega, organized for charitable and educational purposes.
Gamma Delta Omega was chartered by eleven lovely ladies who dreamed of having a chapter of their own in the city of Portsmouth, Virginia. On October 6, 1939, that dream became a reality and thus began a history of service that continues today. This amazing graduate chapter has a membership of over 200 women, all dedicated to sisterhood and service.
Gamma Delta Omega Chapter is excited to continue the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood under the leadership of our current International President and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed. Our chapter continues to be of service to all mankind as we fulfill the international program initiatives that Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice, and Uplift Our Local Community. We are excited to continue our partnership with Twenty Pearls, Incorporated, in executing our community programs.
We welcome members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, who are seeking a warm and sisterly chapter. For more information on transferring or reactivating, please see our Membership Section.
Following in the footsteps of those who came before me, it is my honor and privilege to serve as President of Gamma Delta Omega Chapter for 2023-2024.
Soaring to Greater Heights of Service in Sisterhood,
