Youth Leadership Institute

CHIPP

Wellderly Week

Gamma Delta Omega’s Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) is off to an amazing start! The youth and their parents attended the information session, participated in a group icebreaker, completed their applications, engaged with members of the chapter, and made executive decisions on which programs they would like to complete.

CHIPP provides weekend and holiday meals for children within our local communities and is targeted to be Alpha Kappa Alpha’s most ambitious childhood program to date. On March 1, our chapter President, Vice President, and the Empower Our Families chairman distributed these bags to a local elementary school in Portsmouth, VA.

In celebration of Wellderly Week seniors were surprised with flowers ! These women appreciated the nice gesture and conversation. It’s still time to participate in Wellderly Week! The theme for tomorrow is Bless a Senior with a Meal.
